The Queen's Cup Open was established in 2006 as the first premiere all- women's ski slopestyle event in the world. The objective of QCO is to create a unique and positive learning environment where amateur athletes get the opportunity to ride with the top athletes in the industry and to inspire a new generation of female riders. In 2007, the QCO welcomed a 200% increase in participation from the first year and also added a half-pipe competition. In addition to the slopestyle and halfpipe competitons we’ve been able to grow by adding other elements to the event. In 2008 we held the first ever Breast Cancer Research Foundation Rail Jam on Main Street in Park City. In 2009-10 we held the first all women's super park event, My Super Sweet Park. This year we will be again adding another unique element to the event by putting on the Pro Throw Down Rail Jam in addition to hosting our traditional slopestyle and halfpipe competitions. Queen's Cup Open will once again be hosted by Park City Mountain Resort and we intend on continuing to strive for a global reach and to inspire a new generation of female athletes. Events like QCO are key in ensuring the longevity of the sport and we're looking forward to a successful 6th Annual Queen's Cup Open.
